I make a joke to help you forget how screwed you are.

Because he lost his heart. Get it? He's on a heart search? What do you mean that isn't funny. It's funny! Don't you dare try to tell The Wife what is and isn't funny at 3 a.m. when she should be asleep! It's funny, damnit!
