This one UW and I laughed aloud at. Yep, that's exactly what it's like. And we have what, four of these? They won't scan, so we had to take pictures. They're just all around yucky.

what's on the cover that does it? The holograph?

Yeah, how come they make noise? My books are all silent.

The entirety of the cover, and that of the book with the lady walking out of the waterfall, is a holographic image with that weird texture that holographs have. The whole book is scratchy and that noise it makes when you hold it drives me INSANE. *shiver*

Oh ok. Makes sense. I - still - love to scratch those covers to make that noise! LOL Gotta get you bubble wrap, wife. It's a lot less expensive than a spa day.

OK, now I get it. I save insanity for our politicians' speeches, though. They're far more annoying and nonsensical than any bad romance novel (unfortunately).

THE ENTIRE BOOK is made out of that material -- spine, back, everything. You can't help but make that noise, and some of us find it horrendous.
G, insane is relative.
